WP 4: Material design for large scale manufacturing
Within this workpackage:
- Basic material constituents (matrix, fibres, …) to fulfil demands will be detected
- Basic mechanical properties of laminates made from selected constituents will be determined
- Manufacturing processes in view of fabrication of large components, production at high rates, ease of transportation and of installation, and producing and installing at lowest possible costs will be determined
- Subcomponents for verification and validation of actual design will be tested
- Expertise for production of full composite rig will be gained
